     I know what it's like to be bullied. During primary school I was bullied constantly.

    Growing up I was a prime target for bullies. You see, my mother forced me to have long hair because she thought my golden locks looked "pretty".

    She never realized that no other boy in school dared to have long hair. Because having such a "sissy" appearance would attract bullies. And it did, in droves.

    I was teased, pushed around and hurt. Both physically and emotionally. Being tormented by other kids lowered my self esteem and confidence. It made me feel totally worthless.

You can stop your child from being miserable

    I tried dozens of different ways to stop the bullies. Hitting back, trying to befriend them, ignoring them, hiding amongst others in a group, and avoiding them. But nothing worked!

    I began to dread going to school out of fear of what might happen. There were dozens of times that I did skip class. Shortly afterwards, my grades began to slip. My parents thought that I wasn't paying attention. So I was in trouble at home as well.

     I was too scared to tell a teacher (or anyone else) about the bullying. I feared the bullies would only hurt me more if I "tattled". So I suffered in silence.

     However, on several occasions, when things got really bad, I DID tell a teacher. But they simply shrugged off my complaints with, "boys will be boys". I couldn't believe they were ignoring me!

    All of that happened a long time ago. But recently, something happened, that got my blood boiling. So earlier this year I finally decided to do something!
